Вообше то северные китайцы это смесь ханьцов и хунну ,сяньби,авар,табгач,тюркют,кидань ,маньчжур наконец татаро-монголов.

Думаю связан. У оросутов Гоби-Алтайского аймака есть родовая легенда о том,они произошли от русских.Вернее от русской женшины. И вполне вероятно ,что средневековые монголы всех европеицев назвали русскими т.е их не различали..В Каракоруме жили французы,англичане и немцы.

Думаю,что буряты и калмаки нам братаны.Потому что значительная часть халха-монголов -бывшие калмаки и буряты..Кстати в составе халха есть род тува нар. Они не конокрады. Насчет дунсян и баони не знаю.
